Graham Nash is most commonly known for his membership in the bands Crosby, Stills and Nash and The Hollies. He is a singer-songwriter, photographer and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as of 1997. Born in 1942 in England, Nash found his talents in music at an early age. He became a member of The Hollies in the early 1960s and then a member of Crosby, Stills and Nash in the late 1960s. Nash is married to Susan, they have three children and he has been named as one of the most brilliant musicians of all times. Nash is an acclaimed songwriter of over 200 songs, many of which became huge hits, including “Wasted On the Way” and “Teach Your Children.” Nash’s musical influences are numerous, including Bob Dylan and the Beatles. He is also very involved in politics, environmental issues and photography. One of Nash’s primary concerns deals with protecting the environment. Politically, Nash works towards antinuclear issues. Nash fell into a love for photography and in 1997 he earned an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree from the New York Institute of Technology. Graham Nash, best known for his time with the folk rock band Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young, is a respected and well-known singer recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010. It was on a 1966 American tour of his first band the Hollies that Nash met David Crosby and Steve Stills. Singing a song together at a party at Cass Elliot’s house, Nash discovered the three of them made a unique, beautiful harmony. He subsequently left the Hollies and formed Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Later, the trio became a quartet when Neil Young joined the band.

Graham Nash contributed several beloved songs for CSNY, including “Marrakesh Express,” “Wasted on the Way,” “Our House,” and “Teach Your Children Well.” His rich, soothing vocals and songwriting talent contributed to the band’s popularity and commercial success in the late 1960s and 1970s. While the band members continued to release their separate projects, their success as a group was enviable. Although egos occasionally clashed and the four sometimes split up in various combinations, Graham Nash was often the glue holding them together when drug abuse threatened to ruin lives. To this day, CSNY reunites for tours and special events.

The very popular Graham William Nash was born in Blackpool, England as well as living in Lancashire England enjoying the calm and peaceful life adding it to his music. While Graham Nash works on his music, he claims that he can work best with a sentimental, dreamy and a nostalgic mood. Thus, making his music have more meaning other than just being a popular singer and songwriter as well as when playing his favorite instruments such as the guitar, keyboards, classical music entry and vocals.

Graham is a well-known singer and songwriter known for his tenor voice that he shares with the many British pop groups. Graham Nash claims that The Hollies, and Crosby Stills and Nash is the reason he grew up wanting to become a singer and songwriter. As these are his most favorite singers and groups, he gives credit to for his own popularity to the singers and songwriters above.

Many of his fans do not know how he much Graham enjoys doing photography as well as his music. Graham also started the photography and using black and white pictures to give him ideas to photograph. Graham Nash takes family life seriously and does not believe in divorce. Nash states that divorce only means you never gave one another a chance no matter how long you may have been married. Graham has been married for over twenty-years to Susan Nash. They have three boys Jackson, Will, and Nile. Hoping the children will take up the music history as serious as their father did. As Graham has been playing music since at a young age while other boys were out playing Nash as a boy put time in music first and friends second.

Graham William Nash is an English singer and songwriter known for his contributions to the bands The Hollies, Crosby, Stills, and Nash & Young, and is now in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Born on February 2, 1942 in Manchester, England, Nash became interested in music at an early age. In the mid-50′s, he was participating in choir and began singing with his friend, Allen Clarke. Nash and Clarke called themselves by several names throughout the years including Two Teens, the Guytones, and Ricky and Dane Young.

It was this friendship that blossomed into everything Nash has accomplished. Playing with different band names and singing together, only later to learn guitar, brought these two young boys to create some of the most famous English bands known today.

After playing gigs, Nash and Clarke were recognized by a group called the Deltas, a beginning to their actual career. It was in 1963 that they released their first album, which rose to number 25, and by their third album, their songs were at number 8.
